★ Biography

Tetsu was always the weird one in his family of four while growing up in the city. His older sister of three years, Mari, took care of him often during their childhood while their mother was out with friends and their father working. They usually played with Mari's dolls and Tetsu helped Mari make new clothes of them frequently--which Tetsu had a knack for. Tetsu always felt his sister was loving, but couldn't get past the fact that she always told him what to do... and he hated that.

This part of Tetsu's personality became even more apparent as he entered school. He refused to listen to teachers--he didn't sleep during nap time, he didn't do his homework, he didn't participate if he didn't feel like it... In short, he was a nightmare. Unsurprisingly, his parents and Tetsu fought greatly throughout his adolescence.

As their parent-child relationship drifted farther and farther apart, Tetsu delved deeper and deeper into his own hobbies and peers, seeking the warmth he never felt in his parents from others. In particular, Tetsu discovered his desire to always create and explore things from alternative perspectives. In particular, his interest in unique clothing apparel led him to try dying his hair various colors, wearing gender-questionable clothing pieces, etc. Likewise, his collection of friends--varied with colorful personalities and styles, also helped Tetsu grow into a rebellious figure. His parents, who were quite orthodox in beliefs, felt their son was an alien.

Finally in his last year of middle school, Tetsu got into a fight with another boy at school. The disciplinary actions that ensued, in addition to Tetsu's collection of poor school marks and unusual lifestyle and appearance, finally broke his parents. They sent him off to more rural pastures to his unmarried and rather unusual aunt. Thenceforth, Tetsu would enroll in Hoshizora High, where, his parents hoped, he would become a "human being."

While normal children might feel a move from an urbane lifestyle to a more rural one may seem like a death sentence, Tetsu welcomed the change. He decided the move would lead him to greater introspection so that he could finally decide what his destiny in this life truly was.
